This colour changer replaces the standard sinker plate with one that can change one colour automatically. It is ideal for knitting stripes. It can also be used for multi-colour fairisle, where the background yarn remains the same and the foreground colour is swapped. Punchcards for this must be punched in reverse - or the reverse colour switch can be used if using an electronic machine
